Follow these steps to get the most out of your video call.
1. Register on the Dentistry. One website to make sure that you can message your provider and access your appointments.
2. Complete your paperwork. Make sure your medical history as well as any additional forms your provider may have sent over are filled out before your appointment.
3. Choose a quiet place for your video call.
- Little to no distractions
- Good lighting
- Avoid backlighting that might come from sitting in front of a window, this makes it hard for the provider to see your face
- Head phones are good to have if you are in a noisy room.
4. Make a list:
- Symptoms you've been experiencing
- Medications and supplements you are taking
- Questions for your provider
5. Get your device ready before it's time for your appointment
- For mobile devices (phone or tablet)
- Make sure you are using the newest operating system. Run the update if you are using an older version
- Connect to a good WiFi
- Select "Always allow" Dentistry. One to access your camera and microphone
- For laptops and desktops
- Make sure your computer has a webcam and microphone (most laptops have integrated webcams and microphones)
- Update your browser
- Use Chrome, Firefox or Safari for best results
6. Join early so you have time to trouble shoot any issues before your appointment. The video call will be available 10 minutes before your appointment time.
